dc.description Abstract: The study tested a model of the hypothesized relationships on the mediating effects of work environment or participant characteristics between components of management development outdoor and on-the-job behavior. It was a correlational ex post facto design that used a sample of 150 executive and management participants who attended a management development outdoor program between 2005 and 2006. The participant characteristics acted as a mediator between components of management development outdoor and on-the-job behavior. The conclusion revealed that the components of management development outdoor are important to influence the participant characteristics to apply the learned concepts on-the-job behavior for personal improvement and career development.
