| dc.description | Abstract: Young travellers of today usually travels with a budget constraint and some of them do work while travelling to earn income to cover for food and accommodation. However, sometimes the income may not cover all those expenses as costs are ever increasing. As such, if there is a program which would allow them to work in exchange for accommodation / stay, would the program be applicable. The purpose of this study was to identify the perception and intention of young travellers in participating in the work-stay programme. From the study, it is identified that there is a positive perception of work-stay programme and there is positive intentions of young travellers to participate in the proposed work-stay programme. This study was conducted on a sample size of 251 based on convenience sampling. From the total sample size, it is revealed that duration, work area and compensation influence the perception and intention of young travellers to participate in the work-stay programme. | |
