Abstract: In current competitive business world, it is visible that education should be beneficial to parties who are involved directly in the industry. Nowadays, education institutions are faced with highly intensified competition in order to maintain their position in the industry. In conventional industry, businesses are supposed to satisfy the complexity of consumer wants and needs. Ultimately, for education institutions the equation is more complex as consumers of the industry view and define quality in education independently. Nevertheless, education institution is still responsible in upholding the ‘sacred’ of knowledge through quality assurance and compliance issues as required by the rules and regulation. However, in order to produce an academic qualification with quality which is consistent with regulations, practical requirements and students’ expectations, it requires continuous and committed process. Despite the fact that there is no authoritative definition of quality in higher education it remains as a philosophical concept and intensify the challenging tasks of education institutions’ realization. Nonetheless, it should be applicable in every discipline of programs to improve the qualification with added value that help students towards enhancement of updated skills which is pertinent to the employment environment and requirement. The objective of this paper is to explore the features of quality for undergraduate academic qualification produce by private higher education in Malaysia. And in the end, the research will determine the significant facets of quality for each stakeholders of the industry and the existence of gap between various stakeholders that lead to a comprehensive framework on facets of quality that indulge all stakeholders.
